Mantec have recently reintroduced the 2nd generation Aluminium Steering Guard. Similar in design to the original (as used on the Camel Trophy Defenders), with a few minor upgrades.
Some of the upgrades include the introduction of countersunk bolt heads on the 'skid' plate, as well as upgrading all the fixings to a suitable grade of Stainless Steel.
For those not familiar with the original design (which sets it apart from most other steering guards on the market today), the side brackets are 'tied' together with a structural support bar, thereby, adding an additional layer of protection to the steering components. The steering guard is wider than the majority of steering guards ensuring similar steering component protection whether fitted to a left hand drive or right hand drive vehicle.
The Mantec Steering Guard is manufactured entirely in the UK.
